The Offspring.



Although The Offspring are coming down to Australia very soon they're still cramming in a few last minute dates on their American tour. Guitarist Noodles is happy to have a little time to relax, even if his night off is punctuated by the occasional phone interview.

"Yeah, it's nice to finally have some time to ourselves," he admits. "We're about three weeks into the tour and still got a little bit to go, but the tour is going awesome, it's really phenomenal..."

Call it a bias if you must, but McLusky are perfect and can do no wrong. 2002's 'McLusky Does Dallas' is still the single best rock-guitar album I've heard in the last ten years and gets regular spinnings in Chez Andrew. It took all the great sonic benchmarks of the past however long - Pixies, Jesus Lizard, buses crashing - coralled producer Steve Albini and made a solid block of a record, heralded by inflammatory first single To Hell With Good Intentions ("my love is bigger than your love - sing it!"). Albini's back for 'The Difference Between Me And You Is That I'm Not On Fire' and the results are similarly abrasive and dazzling...
