McLuskie
Call
it a bias if you must, but McLusky are perfect and can do
no wrong. 2002's 'McLusky Does Dallas' is still the single
best rock-guitar album I've heard in the last ten years and
gets regular spinnings in Chez Andrew. It took all the great
sonic benchmarks of the past however long - Pixies, Jesus
Lizard, buses crashing - coralled producer Steve Albini and
made a solid block of a record, heralded by inflammatory first
single To Hell With Good Intentions ("my love is bigger
than your love - sing it!"). Albini's back for 'The Difference
Between Me And You Is That I'm Not On Fire' and the results
are similarly abrasive and dazzling...
