Well, there's not a lot happening this fortnight. Nothing to get too excited over in this cold, dark, miserable July... Apart from, of course, the biggest party of the winter season, Winter Enchanted! To be held at a secret, never before used for a dance party venue that covers 3 massive arenas that will be full of the best dance music in Adelaide! It's all ages, runs from 12-12, and the biggest rave acts in the world are coming to cosy up to us on these cold winter nights, including Paul Glazby, Dyewitness, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Misjah, Ben Stevens, Sebastion, Teebee, and Breakage. Aussie acts include Fractal Glider, Matty Radovich and Craig McWhinney, Will E Tell, Scott Alert, Jam, Greg Packer and MC Shureshock, plus all your local Adelaide favourites! Winter Enchanted will also feature the biggest laser show ever to hit Adelaide. Raise you hands and feel the lasers! Venue details announced on our friends Fresh FM from 6pm Fri 2 July - and don't forget the after party!
A new era of clubbing is about to commence in Adelaide. Surgery opens Thur 1 July at Heaven with new sound, lasers, and line up, this is sure to take Adelaide clubbing to a whole new level, featuring the precision of Doctors Noddy, Mal Chia, Lachy Pender, Brendon, Patch and Odyssey, slicing up the best in hard house, drum and bass and breaks.
Skin isn't a new 'men's club' but rather the return of Adelaide's finest late night/afterparty clubbing destination. Brought to you by Future Entertainment and Total Kaos, and starting Sun 12 July (from 3am), Skin seeks to creates an atmosphere of sensuous five star luxury at Club 199 (formerly Dreamers), 199 North Terrace.
And, although websites have been going crazy saying Moby is America's Public Enemy No 1, no, he hasn't joined Al-Qaeda, but rather teamed up with Chuck D for MKLVFKWR (Make Love Fuck War) to be included on the official Olympic Games album, which is being themed around peace and harmony. Both had wonderful praise for each other, but it makes me wonder if Eminem, Moby's # 1 enemy, will want to have a go at Chuck too...
