Prize Frenzy™!

Fringe. Frenzy™. Frenzor™. You don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to see how it all links up. Plots and counterplots. Lies begetting lies. Wheels within wheels. Simply by reading this paragraph you too have been ensnared in a web of mystery and intrigue, and your life will never be quite the same again. For one thing, you now know to ring 8231 0881 at 1pm on Fri 5 March (when the Triple J news theme plays, we put the phone back on the hook. Fnord). The truth, like the following list of free stuff, is out there:

1. Youssou N'Dour is headlining WOMADelaide and to celebrate the good people of Sony have furnished us with copies of his '7 Seconds: The Best Of' compilation. How sweet is that?

2. That genre-blending madman Mandy Kane is heading to Adelaide for a show at the Enigma Bar on Fri 5 March, and Erin Jameson and Roadshow have generously given us five Mandy Kane packs, including a double pass to the show and copies of his singles Billy Bones, Stab and the brand new Stupid Friday. Nifty!

3. The Anyones are coming back to town for a show at Jive on Fri 5 March, and Steve Pinkerton has a nice chat with Ben Revi in this issue all about it. We've got three double passes to said show, and Shock have thrown in a copy of their self-titled album with each one!

4. You've checked out Steve Jones' interview and now you want to get along to see 'Trip Down The Gutter,' right? We've got five double passes for the season at FAD Bar, ranging from March 2-6 (at 10.30pm), March 9-12 (at 8pm) or the 2pm matinee on Sat 6 March. You name your preferred date, we send you along - all thanks to the TDTG kids!

5. Bruce Cockburn talks music and politics with Christie Eliezer in this issue, and we have three double passes to his show at the Gov on Tues 9 March, thanks to the ever-charming sorts at Gaynor Crawford Publicity.

6. Sure, George are playing at the EntCent on Thurs 11 March as part of The Write Stuff (with Mark Seymour and The Whitlams), but they're also doing an exclusive show at Jive that same day at 1pm, and there are only two ways to get tickets: 1) buy a copy of the brand new 'Unity' album, or 2) win one of the double passes to the show that FMR have kindly sent our way.

7. Lenin Simos fell in love with Electrelane's Emma Gaze when they chatted about their brand new 'The Power Out' CD - and you can hear why by grabbing a copy for yourself, thanks to Remote Control.

8. Ryan Smith has an illuminating chat with Foreshore about their debut CD-EP 'Imagine If', and we have three copies of said CD up for grabs, thanks to the band.

9. Big Heavy Stuff and Bluebottle Kiss join forces to rock Fowlers Live on Sat 6 March - and we have four tickets up for grabs, thanks to Fowlers.

10. Ryan Smith reckons that Brand New's 'Deja Entendu' is a record that you should really own - it's this issue's 'We Liked It And You Will Too' and the sweethearts at EMI have furnished us with three copies for your listening pleasure.
